1 collective petition (Thomas Morgan and Eleanor Morgan, the prisoner's parents) on behalf of David Morgan convicted at the Old Bailey in December 1826 of stealing from the person. Grounds for clemency: wife and three small children dependent on the prisoner's parents. Prisoner's father is a woodcutter so has little money. Asks for sentence to be mitigated due to his good conduct. Gaoler's Report: 'here before.' Initial sentence: 7 years' transportation. Annotated: cannot be granted. MM6
