1 individual petition (the prisoner endorsed by two magistrates and prison doctor) on behalf of William Price convicted at Somerset Lent Assizes in spring 1823 of burglary. Grounds for clemency: 20 years of age. Son of honest and poor parents. Previous good character. Fell in with bad company. Offer of work from Thomas Atkins, former employer of prisoner. Suffers from kidney complaints. Initial sentence: death commuted to two years' imprisonment. Annotated: remission prepared 12 August 1824. MK20
