1 individual petition (Philip Reeve, father of the prisoner) and 1 collective petition (15 inhabitants of London) on behalf of Robert John Reeve convicted at the Old Bailey on 25 February 1822 of theft of a hat valued at 6 shillings. Grounds for clemency: First offence. 15 years of age. Honest and respectable character. Led astray by another boy called Robert Wolffe who is a bad character. Prisoner's father is a sober, honest, industrious poor man who has maintained his wife and children by hard labour. Initial sentence: 7 years' transportation. Annotated: 'to the Hulks March 19 1822.'
