- Folio 279A. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union. In reply to a letter of 1 and 6 June reporting the cases of several able bodied with wives and families granted outdoor relief. Sanctioning the relief allowed in the cases reported; caution that such sanction of relief to able bodied paupers out of workhouse will be declined in future, who are not set to work under the outdoor Labour Test Order of 28 May 1847. Paper Number: 22159/1855. 23215/1855. Poor Law Union Number 337. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
