- Folios 24-25. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Spencer Rogers, [Churchwarden, Wolstanton], acknowledging receipt of an undated letter [received 14 October 1836] and enclosures, including plans of a new workhouse. The Commissions commend the diligence of the select vestry and their desire to see poor relief administered efficiently through a workhouse, but wish that proposals to erect a new workhouse be deferred until an assistant poor law commissioner has reported on the parish of Wolstanton. The plans are returned. Paper number: 3746/C/1836. Poor Law Union Number 415. Counties: Staffordshire.
