Description

Commissioners of Legal Enquiry in the West Indies, 1825, volume 5, Barbados, Tobago and Grenada, 1st report: Commissioner Dwarris, printed and original documents. Volume contains:

  • printed copy of the First Report of the Commissioner of Inquiry into the Administration of Civil and Criminal Justice in the West Indies; Barbados, Tobago, Grenada. Dated 16 May 1825. Published for Parliament [no 157, 310 pp];
  • manuscript copy of numbered questions put to witnesses before the inquiry in Barbados, with their answers;
  • manuscript copy of numbered questions and answers put to witnesses before the inquiry in Tobago, with their answers;
  • manuscript copy of numbered questions and answers put to witnesses before the inquiry in Grenada, with their answers;
  • three cases of complaint referred to the commissioners in Barbados: relating to Robert E Fitt; Molly [or Mary] Cooper; and Samuel Hackett.
