- Martin de Lesgor, petitioning on behalf of himself and of Diego de Begoingne, Peter de Lesgor, and Bernard du Puy, merchants of Bayonne, state that four letters patent, sealed with the seal of the Earl of Lincoln, concerning sums of money owed to the four merchants, were lost in London, in the keeping of the late John de Oleron, merchant of Bayonne, and that despite proclamations in April of the king's twenty-seventh year, they were not found, until three of them were found at Bayonne, in the keeping of Bernard de Saut. The fourth, concerning Martin de Lesgor, has never been found. They have suffered great harm by reason of Bernard's withholding of these letters, and ask that the Mayor and jurats of Bayonne might be ordered to give them compensation against Bernard de Saut.
