Sir John Jennings to Dartmouth on 18 March: he has received letters on the convention for the evacuation of Catalonia and the signing of othe convention in Utrecht. He has proposed to the empress that most of the horse be disposed of and embarkations and provisions be sent from Naples. His proposal has been sent to Vienna for a decision. He does not think the duke of Savoy intends sending troops to Sicily. As soon as the empress's equipage is ready she will proceed on her journey to Milan. Dated on board Blenheim in Vado Bay. Sir John Jennings to Dartmouth on 21 March: appointment of Don Felip Ferrara de Dalmayes y Rosa as ambassador extraordinary of the principality of Catalonia and city of Barcelona to the queen and Don Felip Ferrara y Cacirera to the states general; the empress has ordered him to introduce them. He has already assured them of the queen's resolution to secure to the Catalans all their privileges, but Dartmouth's assurance will carry more weight. Dated on board Blenheim in Vado Bay.No. 118
