Nature of request
A request that the chancellor send the King's writ to the King's lieutenant in Ireland ordering him, with the advice of the King's council in Ireland, to certify the King and council in England what power the justices of Ireland are accustomed to have when the King's lieutenant is not present in Ireland, and especially if the current justices can grant lands of the King's demesne to anyone in fee simple, fee tail or for term of life, and if the current King's lieutenant in Ireland can exercise the power of the said justices.
