Description

Gold Coast (now Ghana). 'Fort William Cape Coast surveyed by Lt. Allen, Acting Engineer, West Coast of Africa, May 1881': site map. Compass star, with the royal arms and motto at the centre. Prince of Wales's feathers at the corners within the border. Surveyed by Lieutenant D M Allen. May 1881. Insets: plans of the basement and first and second floors, a plan of the tank, and a plan, elevations and section of a lighthouse. Scale: 1 inch to 10 feet [1:120].
