Sir Edward Gregory, Commissioner, Chatham. Receipt of letter, the stores for the Newcastle, now on board the Ruby, could be put in a merchant ship, as the Dolphin already has those for the Virgin Prize. Mr. Hayes, the sailmaker, has not appeared, but his foreman says his master is seven months in arrear to all his workmen and if he came without any money, the men would desert, so he proposes entering six able men into the yard. He has ordered a boat at Sheerness for the muster master of the red and will acquaint Mr. Hale. The Neptune and Ossory have been docked and breamed and the Centurion has arrived.
