Nature of request
Alan Leverton states that the King presented him to the church of St Mary of Feltwell, and that he was instituted and inducted there on 28 February in the King's seventh year [1384], but that John Dobbe of Palgrave, John Man of Methwold and others conspired to remove him from the church by force. They have also taken its fruits, forcing Simon Barbour of Santon Downham, his farmer, to make a bond to pay these to them, to the prejudice of the King and his great damage.
