- Letter to Edward III from [the burgesses of] Southampton, stating that their fellow-burgess, Thomas de Bynedon, had loaded a ship with corn and other victuals for Bordeaux, and that when he was returning, on the Friday after Mid Lent in the King's father's eighteenth year (1325), armed men of the power of the Duke of Brittany in three ships stole the ship and the merchandise in it. Although the King's father wrote to the Duke asking him to give Thomas restitution of his goods and damages, and to do justice to him, nothing has been done. They ask the King to provide a suitable remedy.
