- Letter to Edward I from the burgesses of Haverfordwest, stating that certain sailors from Haverfordwest, who served the King for a long time in Flanders and are still in his service in Winchelsea, captured an enemy boat, which they then lost in a storm in the entrance to Milford Haven. They found it later at Angle, in the lands of lady Joan de Valence, and took it as being their boat. Although they are still in the King's service, they are summoned from county court to county court at Pembroke to answer for this, in their absence, and at the next county court they will be waived - including four of their shipmates, burgesses of Haverfordwest, who were not present at the capture of the boat. They request the King's protection for their burgesses and mariners, and that the plea might be brought to judgment in the King's court at Haverfordwest, so that their liberty, previously adjudged to them by the King's justices, might not be harmed.
