- Thomas Fitz Roger makes various complaints against Robert, Prior of Binham, Robert de Lyttlebiri, and Roger his clerk: that the Prior of Binham and his men have beaten him, stolen his livestock, which they still have, and prevented him from obtaining any profit from his land for four years and more; and that they have sued him maliciously in various courts and have prevented him from obtaining justice, in association with Robert de Lyttlebiri. He states that Robert de Lyttlebiri has had him imprisoned, and that he and his clerk Roger have had him beaten - and he asks that this may be inquired into by a jury of poor and middling people. He also complains that they are withholding writs from him and delaying his case - and he asks that this too may be inquired into by a jury of poor and middling people, and by those who were present when he was incarcerated. He also states that they have tried to have him hanged because he complained about them. He asks that the truth of all this and other things too may be inquired into, and that he might have some amendment of his estate, that his affairs might not perish for lack of justice, and that he might have his writs without paying a redemption.

- The poor men beg, for the love of God and the soul of the lord King, that . . . you might be pleased to inquire of your office by twelve men, legitimately sworn and carefully examined, from every county of England, how poor men pleading at the Bench are defrauded of their business; and when they have been questioned and diligently examined, the truth about the collusions, deceptions, and deceitful greed will be laid bare.He is to go to Chancery.
