- John and Helen Arnold state that, by an inquisition held at Ware on 18 October 1434, it was found that Henry Cole of Callington held property in Stanstead St Margarets on the day of his conviction for treason, which was then taken into the king's hands. However, by a charter of 21 June 1429, this property and others in Amwell and Hoddesdon had been granted to the petitioners, who held it until ousted by the escheator. They request a commission to enquire into their claims, and to do right to them.
