[This petition is damaged]The commons of Yorkshire state that it was ordained by a statute of the present King that all manner of dams, weirs and kiddles should be removed from the great rivers and not put back, nevertheless some remain in the River Ouse, which are a hindrance to shipping. They ask that the Chancellor might be ordered to grant a commission to inquire into this, and to make execution according to the purport of the statute.
