Ellen de Gorges requests that the debt of £19 13s 4d owed to her husband by the king for the arrears of his wages for service in Gascony and for a horse lost in the king's service, be deducted from the sum of £22 demanded by the Exchequer for the arrears due from his term as sheriff of Devon.
Nature of endorsement
Enjoin the Treasurer to see whether Ralph has had allowance.And concerning the arrears of wages he is to enquire whether he has had satisfaction, and she shall have respite until Michaelmas next of £22 2s 2d.
