Nature of request
William Makeney and John Golafre both request the confirmation of grants made to them by Richard II out of the issues of certain mills, meadows and a fishery on the Thames at Oxford. Richard II granted this property to the abbey of Osney, and granted them payments for life from the issues, but the Exchequer has lately demanded from the abbot all the sums paid to them.
