Nature of request
William de Weregrave states that for his service to the King and his father, the King granted him the office of Coroner in Eskdale, Dumfriesshire, to hold during pleasure, for which he has his charter (copied under the petition); but that John de Bristow has expelled him from that office. He requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
The Chamberlain of Scotland is to be ordered by a writ of Chancery that, when he has examined William's warrant for the aforesaid office, he is to let him have the office back, unless he has been removed from it for a reasonable and sufficient cause etc.
