"British Bombers."
"The Armstrong Whitworth Whitley has a long and proud history. In the early days of the war she was used for leaflet raids over Germany, and in May 1940 began the bombing raids on Germany and northern Italy. The version shown is the Mark V, fitted with two Rolls Royce Merlin engines with a maximum speed of 240 m.p.h. The Whitley is now used for training and for patrol work with Coastal Command. Note the white Coastal Command camouflage carried by this machine." CS.251
