Nature of request
1) The petitioners ask for a remedy in the present parliament that all legal processes suspended in the courts are enforced as they were the day before the death of the king's grandfather.2) They also seek an ordinance by statute in the present parliament that no lord should maintain quarrels or business for reason of profit on a certain punishment, considering that the poor commons have no law, reason, justice, or truth, for fear of such maintainers.
