- The petitioners seek a suitable remedy in the present parliament such that certain suits of court or fines should not be made. They show that they have too long suffered outrageous injuries and damages because they hold land in suit at hundreds leased by parcels to various tenants at will and for terms of years, and in no other way. The bailiffs and farmers of the hundreds distrain the said tenants for suit of court to the hundred as completely as their lessors, and make suit of court and fine in respect of the hundred for the said lands.
