Nature of request
The bishop shows that Bishop Bek bought the manor of Wark from Balliol but was subsequently ejected by Edward I when he was attending the court of Rome. Bishop Beaumont established his right but the king had granted the manor to Darcy who in turn enfeoffed the queen. The bishop requests justice and remedy.
Nature of endorsement
When he has come into Chancery and show what he has of the purchase, the inquisition returned into Chancery has been viewed and the council of the queen been summoned let justice will be done to him.
