Report of Lord Loughborough on JoSepth Morris convicted at the Buckinghamshire Summer Assizes in 1784, for a burglary and stealing bacon, a waistcoat, a sack and shoes, from the house of John Body. Evidences supplied by John Body, Thomas Lawrence, carter to the prosecutor; John Day, waggoner from Whitney; William Dean, shoemaker from Stoken Church, Edward Neighbor, waggoner[?]; John Davis and Thomas Lawrence. There is a covering letter from Robert Waller to a petition [wanting]. Grounds for clemency: of previous good character and the judge has received an 'Application of a Number of Respectable Persons in the Neighbourhood.' Recommendation: speaks in favour of mercy (free pardon).
