Report of John Heath on JoSepth Meacock, convicted at the Northamptonshire Spring Assizes, for stealing a gamecock (found not guilty of stealing 17 couple of fowls), property of the Reverend Jenkin Jenkins. Evidences supplied by Edward Barnade, servant to the prosecutor and John Cooper, the prisoner's accomplice. The prisoner made a free and voluntary confession to the crime. There is a covering letter from the judge. Grounds for clemency: none given. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation. Recommendation: free pardon.
