Folio 83: Charles Compton to Andrew Stone. Asks him to remind the Duke of Newcastle to send the long overdue instructions about the detention of the Hanover packet-boat, and the need to compensate the Portuguese master for the money illegally taken from him by thecommanders of two privateers (ff.69-71). Otherwise, `this will occasion Mr Carvalho to present long memorials complaining of this treatment.'.
