Folio 130: Rondeau to Walpole. Russia often insulted by Turks and Tartars who have carried away many thousands of the Czarina's subjects into slavery. Nevertheless she is willing to mend matters but the Turks not yet inclined to do justice to her subjects and therefore she is resolved to prevent them being further insulted. Help to end war not wanted. Russia being the injured party, she would not make first move, and nothing seriously considered until Crimea and Azov mastered. Munnich has taken Koslev, and is en route for the capital, Bakhchiserai. Also taken by General Leontov is Kinburn at the mouth of the Dnieper. Kuli Khan now on throne of Persia and called Sophy Nadir. News from General Lacy of imminent capitulation of Azov. Dated St Petersburg 29 June 1736.
