Manuscript prize appeal No 74, from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Tortola, filed in 1799.
Captured ship: Altona [first capture] (master Andrew Neth).
Nationality: Danish.
History: bound from Hamburg and Altona to St Thomas, laden with French wine, dry goods, snuff, herrings, watches and trinkets; taken on 11 October 1798 by the privateer Eclipse (Edward Anderson commanding), and brought into Tortola.
