Description

Short title: Read v Whitland.

Plaintiffs: Sir William Read kt of London.

Defendants: Ralph Whitland, gent, and Richard Crwe [Crews], gent late of London, Roger Bouthe of London, scrivener, and Cuthbert Booth of London, 'cruell man'.

Subject: Forgery in the name of Sir Thomas Gresham kt, of a conveyance to John Markham son of John Markham, since deceased, of the reversion of all his lands not bequeathed to public purposes, including the manor of Heston, Osterly House and lands in Heston and Isleworth.

Middlesex, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Somerset, Derbyushire, Durham.
