Memorandum that the prior of Bernecestre on behalf of himself and his convent, and Henry de Anya, clerk, as proctor of Nicholas, rector of the church of Ambresdon, appeared before the bishop of Lincoln in his chapel of Bannebury, on Saturday before St Peter ad Vincula, A. D. 1240, to receive judgment in a cause between the said parties relative to certain tithes in the fields of Blakewrn, and that by the bishop's advice. with the consent of the parties, the cause was postponed till the return of Nicholas from abroad &c: [Oxfordshire]
