Northampton, esquire, to Thomas Grene, of Benffordes place in the parish of Tonworth, of a lesne or close called " Newe Bettesworth," with the great pool within the same, and another lesne adjoining, called " Olde, Betteswworth" with another pool within the same, a close called "Ladyheth", a ground called "Gret Fenland" with a meadow belonging, a croft called "Little Fenland", a ground called " Calvesley" with a meadow, and two cottages, in Tonworth, with certain chief rents, for thirty-one years, the said Thomas to build a water mill of two "bayes" upon the said ground etc 24 May, 30 Henry VIII
