Bargain and sale by George Hickson (Hyckson), skinner, and Robert Kirkham (Kyrkham), haberdasher, citizens of London, to Robert Johnson, citizen and merchant tailor of London, and Gabriel Johnson and John Johnson, his sons, of the leases and poll deed to a tenement with shops, cellars, solars and all appurtenances and a little shop in St Michael Lane in the parish of St Michael by Crooked Lane, London, part of the tenement called the 'Cuppe', and goods, chattels and wares, for £274, in the form of: One lease granted by William Emerson and John Redman, citizens and bowyers of London (17 October 1565) to William Kirkham, citizen and haberdasher of London, for 34 years. One lease granted by Richard Chester, draper, and George Smith (Smythe), girdler, citizens of London (7 July 1575) to William Kirkham, for 25 years. By poll deed, William Kirkham granted (18 June 1579) to Robert [Kirkham] and John Spencer of London, haberdasher, lately his apprentice, the two indentures of lease.
