Description

i. Executors' account of the estate of John Cryspe, late of Birchington in the Isle of Thanet, Kent, esquire, priest of St Michael the Archangel 1583 until [blank]. Includes servants' wages, funeral costs, probate costs, rent owed, legacies, annuities, debts, house repairs, general expenses and interest. Executors: Edward Crispe, esquire, Philip Broune, gentleman, and Richard Sherley, former servant of John Crispe. [c. 1588]

ii. Expenses claimed by executors in administering the will of John Crispe of Birchington, Isle of Thanet, Kent. 25 November 1584.

iii. List of charges concerning the account of Henry Crispe, the queen's ward, against Edward Crispe, Philip Browne, and Richard Sherley, executors of John Crispe, who died 31 October 1583. Exhibited by Andrew Malory, father-in-law to Henry Crispe. 1588.

iv. Memorandum of a recognizance made between John Crispe, gentleman, lessee of Stonar Marsh, and Richard Sherley, one of the executors of John Crispe, regarding the surplus of the tithe of Stonar Marsh. 16 May 1593.

v. Account of money to be given to the executors of Master [John] Cryspe (Crispe). [c. 1583-1593]

vi. Account of the farms or rents of John Crispe, esquire, deceased, taken by Edward Crispe and Richard Sherley, two of John Crispe's executors, dating from 25 March 1591 to 15 May 1593, relating to the money collected and held by Philip Browne, the third of John Crispe's executors, and the account of Andrew Malory, esquire. [c. 1593]

vii. Executors' account of the receipts and payments of the estate of John Cryspe (Crispe), late of Birchington in the Isle of Thanet, Kent, dating from 29 September 1588 to 25 March 1591. Executors: Edward Crispe, esquire, Philip Broune, gentleman, and Richard Sherley. On dorse, note that the account was newly written and finished in 1593. [c. 1588-1593]

viii. Copy of a list of acquittances shown by Edward Crispe and Richard Sherley to Master Lancelot Lovelace.
