Bill witnessing that John Pickarde, clerk, parson and rector of Brockhall in Northamptonshire, has received from John Cowngarton of Flore [Northamptonshire], gentleman, farmer of the parsonage, the sum of £4 due last Michaelmas, with seal attached. Dated 9 October 1570. [Dorse:] Letters of attorney of John Pickarde appointing the bearer, William Pococke, to receive the rent. Receipt by John Pickarde, clerk, rector and parson of Brockhall [Northamptonshire], for 40s. paid by Mr. Robert Coungletton for a quarter's rent of the parsonage, due at the feast of St Thomas apostle last. Dated 23 December 1580. Bill witnessing that John Pyckarde, clerk, parson and rector of Brockhall in Northamptonshire, has received from John Coungarton of Flore [Northamptonshire], gentleman, farmer of the parsonage, the sum of £4 for a half-year's rent due last Lady Day, with seal attached. Dated 31 March 1571. [Postscript:] letters of attorney appointing the bearer William Pocoke to receive the rent. Bill witnessing that John Pickard, clerk, parson and rector of Brockhall in Northamptonshire, has received from John Congletton of Flore [Northamptonshire], gentleman, farmer of the parsonage, the sum of £4 for a half-year's rent due next Lady Day, with seal attached. Dated 26 February 1573. Bill witnessing that John Pickarde, clerk, parson and rector of Brockhall in Northamptonshire, has received from John Congleton of Flore [Northamptonshire], gentleman, farmer of the parsonage, the sum of £4 for a half-year's rent due at Lady Day, with seal attached. Dated 8 August 1598.
