Enclosure award and map of Calder (manor and township in the parish of Ponsonby), Cumberland. Also includes Calder Gills and Gaterigg Bank. Map on two sheets. Map A covers the enclosed area only (100 acres) and shows the land before and after enclosure. Also shows river (with direction of flow), named gates, named buildings, field boundary ownership, some named landowners. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. Map certified for accuracy, 16 August 1853. Map B covers the enclosed area and some other land (850 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows named commons, named buildings. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 4 chains. Valuer: William Dickinson, North Mosses, Arlecdon, Cumberland, Land Surveyor. Dimensions of maps: Map A) 36 cm x 92 cm, Map B) 106 cm x 146 cm
