Description

Egypt: Suez. Admiralty chart 734: 'Red Sea: Suez Bay'. Compass roses. Surveyed by Commander A L Mansell, 1856, assisted by Lieutenant E W Brooker, 1857. Engraved by J and C Walker. Published 3 December 1857. Corrected to August 1862. Coloured manuscript additions [?1868] show ship canal and dredged channel at Suez, dock in progress, railway from Cairo and railway in progress.
