Edward Copley, Sir Godfrey Copley, Bart., Sir George Cooke, Bart.: Deed bearing date 27 April 1690, mentioned to be made between Christian Thorndike, of the parish of Burstall (York), widow, of the one part, andthe defendants Sir Geo. Cooke and Sir Godfrey Copley, by the names of Sir George Cooke, of Wheatley, and Sir Godfrey Copley, of Sprotesbrough, in said county, baronets, of the second part, and defendant Edwd. Copley, of Batley, of the third part, and endorsed by George Blackburne (afterwards husband of said Christian) and John Copley, of Doncaster. Touching a lease of premises [where situate not stated] lately in the possession of Christian Blackburne, wife of Geo. Blackburne, and now in the possession of defendant Copley, for which a reserved rent of about 31 pounds is payable to Trinity College in Cambridge, &c., &c.: York
