Description

Short title: Gascoigne v Houghton.

Plaintiff(s): John Gascoigne.

Defendant(s): Samuel Houghton.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Bramham, and the water corn mills called Bramham mills. Whether said premises were parcel of the possessions of the late Abbey of Nostell. [Touching the custom of "suit and service" (i.e. grinding corn, etc) to said mills.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 8 May 1694 and 15 June 1694.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 September 1694 at Abaford, delivered into Court 7 July 1694.
