Description

Short title: Coke v Bishop.

Plaintiff(s): Roger Coke.

Defendant(s): John Bishop, Arnold Browne, Margaret Browne, widow.

Subject of depositions: Lands, of John Base, holden of the manor of Swans in Saxmundham (Suffolk), and alleged to have been surrendered by said Base to the use of Thomas Bishop, formerly of Cokeley (Suffolk),for securing certain sums of money by way of mortgage. [The name of John Nelson, of Bramfield, is mentioned].

County/place: Suffolk.

Date of commission: 5 July 1693.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 20 October 1693 at Saxmundham.
