Subject of depositions: Manor of Sherland, the lands belonging, and the demesnes of said manor (Derbyshire), and the "grounds heretofore called, reputed, or known by the name of `Sherland Parke' (now disparked)." Metes and bounds. Also touching the rectory and parish of Sherland. Tithes. Also touching "another lordship called `Blackwell,' abutting on said Sherland Parke" etc. [It is stated by deponents that in the year 1658 the third part of said manor and demesnes which belonged to the Hon Edward Howard, afterwards Duke of Norfolk, was sold. "Sir George Savile for one third part, who still holdeth the same, likewise the late Right Honble. Francis Earle of Shrewsbury, or his trustees for another third part, who held the same till the yeare one thousand sixe hundred fiftie and eight, that the same was sold by him to sundry purchasers. "].
