Short title: Ashton v Braddyll.
Plaintiff(s): Sir Edmund Ashton, baronet.
Defendant(s): Thomas Braddyll, William Horrabyn, John Horrabyn, Alice Woods, widow, Thomas Whalley, Elizabeth Dugdall.
Subject of depositions: Manor or "reputed" manor or lordship of Whalley, and the two antient water corne mills, "both under a roofe" commonly called the Abbey Mills. Whether said premises are reputed to be parcel of the possessions of the late dissolved monastery of Whalley? etc. Touching the custom of "suit and service" (i.e. grinding corn, etc), of the "resiants and inhabitants of Whalley" to said antient mills.
County/place: Lancashire.
Date of commission: 15 June 1692.
Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 October 1692 at Whalley.
