Description

Short title: Lambert v Ayrey.

Plaintiff(s): Josiah Lambert, John Sleddall, Daniel Ward.

Defendant(s): Christopher Ayrey, George Dowthwaite, Jo. Borwick, William Lickbarrow.

Subject of depositions: Rectory and vicarage of Kirkby Kendall, and the township, vill, or hamlet of Long Sleddall, etc. A lease of said rectory by the masters,fellows, and scholars of Trinity College, Cambridge, to Sir John Otway, knight. Touching certain "tenements, etc." in the possession of defendants, called Sadgell, Stockdale, Swinkell Bank, and Bitchill. Tithes.

County/place: Westmorland.

Date of commission: 15 June 1692.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 27 September 1692 at Kirkby Kendall.
