Description

Short title: Banastre v Astley.

Plaintiff(s): Nicholas Banastre (an infant), by Henry Malham, his closest friend and guardian.

Defendant(s): Richard Astley and his wife Mary, Richard Bradley and his wife Anne.

Subject of depositions: Last will and testament of Nicholas Banastre (late father of defendant's Mary and Anne), and his estate, including the manor of Altham, and the demesne lands belonging (Lancashire), the manor of Easington (Stafford ?), and the manor of Pillings (Lancashire). [The names and possessions of Nathaniel Banastre, Henry Banastre (plaintiff's late father), Byron Banastre, uncle to defendants Mary and Anne), Richard Banastre (plaintiff and defendant's grandfather), Anne Banastre (late mother of defendants Anne and Jane), and Sir Robert Banastre are mentioned].

County/place: Lancashire; Staffordshire.

Date of commission: 1 July 1691.
