Short title: Lestrange v Gwavas.
Plaintiff(s): Dame Elizabeth Lestrange, widow of Sir Nicholas Lestrange, bart.
Defendant(s): William Gwavas.
Subject of depositions: Bond (given by Sir Nicholas to John Coke, of Holkham) for payment of monies due by Sir Nicholas upon his executorship of the personal estate of Coke's late father, alleged to have been lent by Mr Coke to the Sir Nicholas to show to his lady (the plaintiff). Touching the alleged refusal of Sir Nicholas to return the "unsatisfied" bond (so lent as aforesaid) when requested by Mr Coke so to do.
County/place: Devon.
Date of commission: 12 February 1687.
Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 11 April 1687 at Plimpton Maurice, delivered into Court 25 June 1687.
