Description

Short title: Lechmere v Dingley.

Plaintiff(s): Nicholas Lechmere, Edmond Lechmere, son and heir apparent of said Nicholas, John Kent, and William Watton (servants of said Edmund).

Defendant(s): Sir Edward Dingley alias Dynely, kt, Samuel Hale, John Fynch, Anthony Ashfield, William Rumney, Daniel Webley.

Subject of depositions: Inclosures madein the common fields and other common grounds in the parish of Hanley alias Hanley Castle. Also touching a large waste or common called "Malvern Chase." Metes and bounds. Right of common of pasture. [Sir Edward Dynely's manor called Dynely Hall, his lands in Hanley called "Powell's". lately purchased by him of John Dynely and Edmund Aston, are mentioned].

County/place: Worcestershireshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1687.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 16 March 1687 at Hanly Castle.
