Description

Short title: Earl of Kent v Daw.

Plaintiff(s): The Rt Hon Anthony Earl of Kent.

Defendant(s): Robert Daw.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Longhope, a water corn-mill in the parish of Longhope, and land adjoining called "The Sifthill" (Gloucestershire), in defendant's possession, and heretofore belonging to Thomas Daw (defendant's uncle). Whether such mill is reputed to be the mill of the lord of said manor, and parcel of the demesnes of the manor, and held by lease of the earls or countesses of Kent. Arrears of rent.

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1687.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 23 March 1687 at Lea.
