Description

Short title: Watkins v Owens.

Plaintiff(s): Gwen Watkins, widow, Susanna Watkins, Elizabeth Watkins, Eleanor Watkins, spinsters.

Defendant(s): Martha Owens, widow.

Subject of depositions: Deeds of settlement, relating to the jointure of plaintiff Gwen, made between James Watkins, of Tregoyd (Brecon) (plaintiff's late husband),James Williams and Ann his wife, and Thomas Williams, of Bagly Breeth, in Brecon, Edward Owens, of Morington, in Salop (defendant's late husband), and the plaintiff Gwen by the name of Gwen Hardman, of Court Leghred, in the parish of Lanelweth, in Radnor, spinster. Also touching certain bonds entered into for the performance of the covenants contained in the deeds.

County/place: Herefordshire; Breconshire; Shropshire; Radnorshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1686.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 21 April 1686 at Hington.
