Description

Short title: Potts v Chafin.

Plaintiff(s): George Potts and his wife Anne.

Defendant(s): William Chafin, Walter Forwort, Mary Chafin, spinster, Henry Coker and his wife Rachael.

Subject of depositions: Manors of Leals, Clevidon, and woodland (Wiltshire), said to have been extended or forfeited at the suit of Charles the FirSt Touching asmall "living, messuage, or tenement" parcel of such manor, called "Potters Tenement." What title one Thomas Penruddock ever claimed in the manors? Was James Hall ever admitted tenant of the messuage? etc.

County/place: Dorset; Wiltshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1686.
