Description

Short title: Barlow v Langford.

Plaintiff(s): Mary Barlow, widow.

Defendant(s): George Langford, Roger Glegg, Thomas Mosse, Thomas Morgan, William Walley, Ellen Dunne, William Penlington, Robert Robinson, John Holliland, Henry Salsbury.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to lands, in Tramnore (Cheshire), the legitimacy of plaintiff's late father Hugh Langford, and which of his father's three wives he was born of. [The names of William Langford (plaintiff's grandfather), Elizabeth Langford, the first wife of William, Mary his second wife, and Alice his third wife, and Hugh Poole, of Bebington, a clergyman ( "of the family of Poole of Poole "), the plaintiff's grandfather (on the mother's side), are mentioned].

County/place: Cheshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1681.
